BERLIN – Warsaw’s Chopin airport handled almost 7.5 million passengers in 2021.
In 2021 7,473,734 passengers used Warsaw’s Chopin airport. According to airport authorities, the airport exceeded the number of 1 million passengers in one month three times.
The total number of passengers was 36% higher than in 2020 and 40% of the total number of passengers in 2019. It was also 2% higher than forecasted.
These results place Warsaw’s Chopin airport ahead of airports like Prague, Minsk, and Budapest, while being beat by nearby Berlin and Vienna.
In December the airport handled 741,000 passengers, an increase of over 230% compared to 2020.
The airport is Poland’s biggest airport in terms of passengers handled. The airport also handled 97,453 tons of Cargo, which is on pre-pandemic levels.
