LONDON – Vietnam’s newest airline Bamboo Airways opens reservations for Hanoi to London Gatwick flights. The airline opened bookings on 7 July.
From Vietnam to the UK for only £307
The historical flight will begin on 29 October of this year and will fly weekly to the UK, flying every Sunday. The flight will connect Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport and London Gatwick Airport.
The airline will utilise the ultra-modern wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, the airline’s flagship aircraft. The flight is expected to last 12 hours, which will shave off transit times for passengers originating from both ends.
To mark this special milestone the Vietnamese airline has offered a special deal from only 307 GBP to honour the new route, whereby they can book seamless online on its website or any affiliated travel service.
Hoang Ngoc Thach, Deputy Chief Commercial Officer of Bamboo Airways, stated: “The nonstop Hanoi – Gatwick route is Bamboo Airways’ next effort in serving UK market in particular and Europe in general.”
“We hope the sense of hospitality and international 5-star oriented services bearing Vietnam footprint of Bamboo Airways will win European passengers’ hearts as well as Vietnamese diaspora in the UK.”
Moreover, should initial passengers load on Hanoi to London flights, then the airline will work towards, if not already preparing a second non-stop flight from Ho Chi Minh City to London Gatwick.
Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer, Gatwick Airport said: “The arrival of Bamboo Airways at Gatwick provides a very welcome addition to our operation.”
“In the past 10 months, we have been able to significantly grow our connections across North America, so to also be able to continue to expand our routes across Asia is fantastic news for both leisure travellers and business passengers throughout London and the South-East.”
“Vietnam is a wonderful country, offering a wealth of beautiful sights including stunning beaches, national parks, temples and vibrant streets and night markets, so we are delighted Gatwick passengers can now connect to its capital city and beyond so easily, via Bamboo’s excellent network.”
This is not the first European long-haul service for the new Vietnamese airline. Bamboo has already launched the nonstop Hanoi to Frankfurt flights on 26 February this year.
Flights to Germany are lucrative for the airline as there are lots of Vietnamese diasporas residing in the European country. The airline will continue to explore more routing options within Europe, apart from already flying to 40 international routes.
The airline has a clean and reliable track record for the on-time performance of nearly 97% in the first months of operations for this year. The customer satisfaction rate is also high at 4.5/5.
The airline aims to be one of Vietnam’s leading airlines, triumphing over its national carrier Vietnam Airlines.
