LONDON – In some horrifying news, United Airlines has said it will cooperate with UK authorities following a passenger being arrested on suspicion of rape during flight UA14.
On January 31, the Metropolitan Police were called to an incident at 6:30 am, where a British man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a passenger, according to The Independent.
The Met commented on this incident:
“At 06:39hrs on Monday, 31 January police at Heathrow Airport were alerted to an incident on an inbound flight.
“Officers met the aircraft on arrival and arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of rape. He has been released under investigation.”
“The complainant, a 40-year-old woman, is being supported by specialist officers and inquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson from United Airlines commented on this incident, saying they alerted police of the incident as soon as the complaint was received.
“We will cooperate with law enforcement on any investigation,” the spokesperson added.

Data from RadarBox.com suggests that this happened on United Airlines Flight 14, which is an evening flight that departs from Newark bound for London Heathrow.
This is a developing story.
