LONDON – Ukraine International Airlines has confirmed its insurers are terminating insurance of aircraft for all flights in Ukrainian airspace, with some aircraft heading for storage.
Such news comes amid rising tensions in Ukraine, with a Russian invasion possible and imminent.

PS1001, operated by UR-PSZ, a Boeing 737-86N flew from Kiev to Belgrad.
PS1005, operated by UR-PSO, a Boeing 737-8Q8 has flown from Kiev to Castellon, Spain.
PS1009, operated by UR-PSQ, a Boeing 737-86N has flown from Kiev and at the time of writing, looks to be en route to Castellon, Spain as well.
PS1012, operated by UR-PSX, a Boeing 737-8EH has flown from Kiev to Castellon, Spain.
PS1007, operated by UR-PSP, a Boeing 737-8Q8 has flown from Kiev to Castellon, Spain.
This news comes as no surprise, especially with SkyUp Airlines being faced with the same dilemma regarding insurance and lessors forcing the airline to withdraw the aircraft.
