LONDON – Amid airspace bans caused by the Ukraine Crisis, Russian carrier S7 Airlines has announced a suspension of all international flights.

The cancellation of flights is effective as of tomorrow (Saturday 5th March), which represents another blow to the Russian aviation industry.

In a statement, the airline said the following:

“From March 5, S7 Airlines is obliged to cancel all flights to international destinations.”

Passengers on canceled flights will be notified by the airline, and our specialists will help them return home on flights operated by partner airlines.”

“Passengers of canceled international flights can also request a full refund”.

This decision was something that was expected, especially with the tight sanctions that are being imposed on Russia by the West.

This is a developing story.
