LONDON – Footage sourced from @OSINTtechnical on Twitter shows a Russian Mi-8 Helicopter being downed by Ukrainian forces in Donetsk Oblast.
The 67-second clip shows the helicopter flying at a low altitude before being struck by a missile.
The Mi-8 continued flying in the clip until around 50 seconds later when the aircraft crashed into a field in the Donetsk Oblast area.
It is confirmed it was a Russian helicopter due to the Star that is etched on either side of the craft and the footage being released by Ukrainian authorities as well.

There isn’t much information about what registration the frame was, as well as how long it has been in the Russian armed forces for.
As soon as we can acquire that information, we will update the article accordingly.
This is a developing story.
