LONDON – Organisers of the Farnborough Air Show announced today in a small statement the suspension of Russian participation ahead of the event in July.
In the short statement, the organizers said the following:
“Following the ongoing events taking place in Eastern Europe, we have made the decision to suspend Russian participation at the 2022 Farnborough International Airshow, taking place in July.”
“Our hearts go out to the people of Ukraine, and everyone affected by the current situation. We continue to hope for a timely and peaceful resolution.”
This is going to disable the likes of Irkut, and other Russian firms within the sector from being able to showcase their products and portfolios.
