LONDON – Two aerobatic aircraft have been captured on video colliding mid-air in Gera, Germany. It is understood there were no survivors from the incident.

The two aircraft in question are registered as D-EWQC and D-EWQL, two Zlin Z-526 AFS Acrobat aircraft that were practicing aerobatics in the local area.
According to data from Aviation Safety, the two aircraft crashed yesterday, killing both pilots onboard. The crash site was in a field near Gera-Leumnitz Airfield.

The image above shows the crash site of the two aircraft, which became conjoined together following the collision, causing both aircraft to hit the ground at the same time.
These two aircraft have typically been photographed at the ILA Berlin airshows on multiple occasions over the years, with their aerobatics showing off some incredible stunts.
