LONDON – British leisure carrier Jet2 has recorded a 42% increase in flight movements, according to seven-day rolling averages presented by RadarBox.com.
The carrier is still experiencing strong numbers, even after the Summer 2022 season has come to a relative close.
Without further ado, let’s get into the numbers…
The Numbers…

For October 1-8, the carrier recorded 347 movements, which is an increase of 42.80% compared to the same period last year.
This figure is actually higher than the pre-pandemic (2019) figure of 311 movements, meaning that the airline is exceeding movement numbers.
Below is a list of the carrier’s movement numbers from the last four weeks:
Date | 2021 Numbers | 2022 Numbers | Percentage Change |
September 3-10 | 234 movements | 394 movements | +68.38% |
September 10-17 | 226 movements | 393 movements | +73.89% |
September 17-24 | 239 movements | 384 movements | +60.67% |
September 24-October 1 | 236 movements | 356 movements | +50.85% |

Overall…
It remains clear that Jet2 is performing above pre-pandemic expectations and could be on for a very successful financial year if things carry on the way they are going.
The Winter 2022 season will be very important for the carrier as they will want to keep their movements up in order to secure as much revenue as possible.
Either way, all eyes are going to be on the carrier as we enter this period of the year.
