BERLIN – The Frankfurt-based flag carrier of Germany, Lufthansa, is set to receive its brand-new Premium Economy product.
The introduction of a new Premium Economy product was scheduled originally for the end of 2020 with the delivery of their first 777-9.
Since the delivery is delayed, the new product will be introduced onboard their 747-8’s.

The new product will also be introduced onboard the new 787 and A350.
The airline will be using the new “Zim Privacy” seats. These will offer a personal IFE, a USB and PCU port, a coat hook, as well as a table.
The seats will be mainly blue with brown and gray accents.
Swiss will equip their A330 aircraft with the same seats, though they will sport another color scheme.
According to Zim Aircraft Seating, which also produced the current Premium Economy you’ll find on Lufthansa, the seat will offer Business Class comfort on a Premium Economy seat.
The seat recline will not be invading the passenger behind you due to the design of the seat.
The product will be introduced in 2023.
