LONDON – Indonesia’s Lion Air Group has conveyed the latest developments regarding their operational adjustments and flight services for domestic routes during the November G20 Summit period.
The variations concern flights to and from Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Badung, Bali (DPS) between 13 – 17 November 2022, during the G20 Indonesia Presidency Summit.
Lion Air refers to Circular (SE) Number 12 of 2022 concerning Aviation Operational Arrangements during the 2022 G20 Indonesia Presidency Summit at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, from the Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
The SE refers to the prohibition of commercial flights parking overnight (Remain Over Night / RON) at DPS Airport.
Lion Air advisory to intending travellers
The implementation period is between 12-18 November 2022 at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. The enforcement of limited operation for regular flights is in effect from November 13-17, 2022.
The airline has advised a number of precautionary measures to limit passenger demand over the period in question, so as to ensure the limited operational flights do not exceed capacity.
Accordingly, Lion Air have issued the following statement:
Lion Air Group appeals to prospective passengers (people, business people, and tourists) to rearrange air travel plans to and from Bali through direct and connected flights (via transit).
If there is an adjustment to the latest flight schedule during the period, Lion Air will provide information to prospective passengers. Please ensure the active phone number and e-mail address according to the prospective departing passengers.
Prospective passengers will receive a notification via e-mail or SMS / WA that is registered/entered when purchasing tickets. If the prospective passenger does not agree to the latest schedule, they can rearrange the flight schedule by accessing the link on the e-mail notification sent by Lion Air Group.
Prospective passengers who purchase flight tickets through travel agents (tour and travel), online travel agents, or online (OTA) can contact the relevant travel agent and Lion Air Group customer service.

If the prospective passenger agrees with the latest flight schedule, please pay attention to the scheduled flight.
- Have fulfilled the requirements for air travel according to the latest rules or regulations set by the destination city.
- Arrive at the departure airport early (on average 2-3 hours before the scheduled flight).
- Carry out self-reporting (online check-in)
- The check-in system at the airport closes 30 minutes before domestic departure and 40 minutes before international flights.
- The boarding gate system closes 10 minutes before departure.
