LONDON – Kuwaiti-bred low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways is now venturing deeper into the Saudi market. The airline is now flying to two secondary cities in Saudi Arabia.

These two cities will be serviced thrice weekly by the airline. This announcement was made on the 4th of July. These two cities are amongst the touristic cities in the Kingdom. 

Flights to Abha will begin on the 17th of July, while flights to Hail will being on the 21st of July. 

The announcement of new flights is a huge win for both the airline and the Saudi tourism scene.

As flights to and from these two cities and Kuwait will bring many tourists from Kuwait, fostering stronger cultural and economic ties between the two Kingdoms. Travellers may also go beyond the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah to truly discover what Saudi Arabia has to offer. 

Jazeera Airways Chief Executive Officer, Rohit Ramachandran, said: “We are very excited to be expanding our footprint in Saudi to offer our customers more routes to the Kingdom, providing access to new tourism sites and commercial centres as we now offer over 80 flights a week into KSA.”

Kuwait is a gulf nation that often lacks natural resources. With the opening of flights to Abha and Hail, Kuwaitis will be able to fly to these new destinations for a weekend trip or a short holiday.

Abha is located in the culturally diverse and rich region of Aseer, which is located at the southern peak of the coast of the Red Sea. This is a highlight for those who enjoy hiking and the mountainous rocky landscapes. 

Hail on the other hand is sandwiched between Mount Shammer and Mount Salma, where this market caters mainly to the adventurous demographic.
