LONDON – ITA Airways and airBaltic have announced codeshare cooperation that will allow for more travel opportunities.
airBaltic customers are now able to benefit from a wide selection of Italian destinations, while ITA Airlines passengers are able to buy non-stop tickets from Riga to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Malpensa.
airBaltic will expand its network by putting its BT designator code on selected ITA Airways operated flights to 10 destinations in Italy for the coming winter season:
Brindisi, Catania, Genoa, Palermo, Reggio Calabria, Lamezia Terme, Turin, Trieste, and Venice, which will be expanded with Bologna, Florence, Naples, and Verona in the summer season.
Similarly, ITA Airways will offer flight connections to its passengers and apply its AZ code on airBaltic operated flights between Italy and Latvia.
“We are pleased to add ITA Airways as another partner to our existing network of codeshare airlines,” said Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic.
“Our strong network of partners enables us to further improve the connectivity of Baltic states. The new partnership provides convenient connections to existing destinations in Italy.”
