BERLIN – Eurowings gets ready to receive first its Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft. Starting in early 2022, Eurowings will receive 8 A320neos and 5 A321neos.

The 13 brand new airplanes have a list price of 1,5 Billion US$. The German leisure airline prepares for the arrival of the new aircraft type. The first A320neo will start service before the summer season starts. The first A321neo will arrive in 2023.

“With the Neos Eurowings received brand new, highly efficient aircraft that are equipped with the best available technologies. This milestone investment into our fleet is an important signal for our customers, but also a vote of confidence from the Lufthansa Group into the future of Eurowings,” stated Jens Ritter, COO of Eurowings. “With that, we don’t only receive a competitive, but a future-oriented aircraft with state of the art technologies.”

The new aircraft will reduce the noise emission by up to 50% and will burn 15% less fuel.

Their A320neos will have 180 seats, the A321neo 232 seats. All aircraft will be equipped with the Airspace Cabin for more passenger comfort.

They’ll be operated on high frequent routes, for example, holiday flights to Palma de Mallorca.

The first jet will be registered D-AENA. It’s planned that Eurowings will receive 7 A320neos in 2022, with the 8th and last jet-following in 2024. A321neo deliveries will start in early 2023.
