LONDON – easyJet has recently marked the milestone of flying over 3 million passengers in and out of Birmingham Airport.
This is a cause for celebration, and one of the ways EasyJet is celebrating is by adding a new route to its network and by awarding free flights to 2 customers.
The new route to Faro comes as new summer flights have been added, such as to Malaga and Palma de Mallorca which were launched last year and will come back this year in the summer.
EasyJet is now eager on filling more seats than it did pre-COVID, aiming to fill up to 4 times than 2019, all the while serving new destinations.
It now serves customers in Birmingham with connections to 8 airports across the UK and Europe, via Belfast International Airport, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Geneva, Palma, Malaga, and now Faro.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We are delighted to announce yet another new route from Birmingham today.”
“Over the past months, we’ve continued growing our operations at Birmingham, serving more customers, and offering more connections to a greater range of destinations.”
The airline launched operations at Birmingham airport 15 years ago, flying its first customers from Birmingham to Geneva in 2007.
