LONDON – A Corsair Airbus A330neo operating SS925 between Fort de France and Paris Orly diverted to Lajes, Portugal due to the captain falling ill on board.
The incident occurred on January 17, and has resulted in an investigation opened up by the BEA, the French air investigators.

The captain on board fell ill and wasn’t able to continue controlling the aircraft, resulting in the first officer taking over control and diverting the aircraft.
SS925 remained on the ground in Lajes for around 13 hours before continuing on to Paris.
The flight was operated by F-HHUG, which is only 0.7 years old at the time of writing, having been delivered to Corsair back in June 2021.
