Photo and video footage shows the extent of the damage to the aircraft’s #2 engine, including some of the equipment dragged along with the aircraft.

According to data from RadarBox.com, B-18715 operated CI5240 from Anchorage into Chicago, having arrived in the early hours of the morning.
It is unclear at this time when the aircraft will be back in the air.
According to data from Planespotters.net, B-18715 was delivered new to China Airlines Cargo in August 2003, making the jet around 18.4 years old at the time of writing.
The aircraft has only remained with the carrier during that time.
This is a developing story.
