LONDON – Travel operator Detur filed for and declared themselves bankrupt on October 17th, 2022, after trying to restructure the company since mid-summer of the same year.
Restructuring since the summer
The travel and holiday company Detur has, after months of trying to restructure themselves, declared bankruptcy, as the challenge of restructuring become too hard.
The travel operator also blames rising fuel costs, the war in Ukraine, and increased costs overall, a great factor for their recent bankruptcy.
On the bankruptcy, the press officials have written:- “The operating costs with increasing and difficult to estimate costs for aviation fuel have put the company in such a position that the management has been forced to state that it no longer makes sense to continue the efforts with a reorganization, recapitalization or alternatively sale and must, unfortunately, announce that Detur is forced to request themselves in bankruptcy.”
Of course, the bankruptcy affects their customers, and these will be refunded with the full paid amount to their credit or debit cards.
This is a developing story…
