BERLIN – Romanian carrier Blue Air becomes the largest carrier between Romania and Greece. The carrier will add ULCC service from Bucharest to Lefkada and Kefalonia in June.
The carrier is currently serving 9 Greek destinations from 3 Romanian city’s.
With operations from Cluj, Iasi, and Bucharest they will now count a total of 17 routes and 11 destinations, following the addition of the 2 new destinations.
Following the lift of Greek travel restrictions, the airline sees strong demand for their flights to Greece.
Blue Air CEO Krassimir Stance said: “The way out of pandemic is becoming evident and we are happy to respond by adding more capacity to Greece, which is by far the most demanded market by our customers this Summer.”

The carrier will be operating the following routes in summer 2022:
- Bucharest – Athens, Chania, Corfu, Heraklion, Kefalonia NEW, Lefkada NEW, Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos, Zakynthos
- Cluj – Zakynthos, Heraklion, Rhodes
- Iași – Mykonos, Zakynthos, Heraklion
