LONDON – From now on, it will be easier to book combining tickets from Transavia and Azores Airlines, which makes it easier for passengers to travel to the Azores and Europe.
With this interline agreement, Transavia passengers can, in addition to the already existing direct flights Amsterdam to Ponta Delgada, choose to book to more destinations in the Azores offered by Azores Airlines.
Passengers flying Azores Airlines also have the option to book via Transavia to many European destinations offered by them.
This has been made possible by introducing Transavia Smart Connect, together with Dohop, the digital interline platform provider.
Smart Connect knows how to connect smartly (which, if you think about it, seems kind of obvious).
The user-friendly platform offers passengers more convenience in searching for combined flights and allows them to discover even more amazing islands of the Azores.
The partnership with Azores Airlines is the first collaboration with the use of Transavia’s Smart Connect.
To make this all possible, both airlines are working with Dohop, an Icelandic company specializing in virtual interlining technology.
Dohop helps airlines with the technology and the necessary platform.
In addition, Dohop is responsible for the connection service, meaning that if a passenger is unable to get to their connecting flights for whatever reason, be that a cancellation or a delay, Dohop will be looking for an alternative flight and hotel accommodation.
