LONDON – Due to the rising demand, AirAsia is resuming its services to Nha Trang and Da Lat in Vietnam from July 8 and 10 respectively.

The return

The CEO of AirAsia, Riad Asmat, said:

“As the momentum for leisure travel has picked up since the reopening of borders by most countries in the region, AirAsia is proud to participate in the revival of the tourism industry by resuming these popular routes to Vietnam.”

“It’s time again for our guests to explore and revisit the refreshing breeze and popular seafood of the coastal town of Nha Trang or maybe choose to immersive themselves in the rich pine forests, lakes, and waterfalls of “City of Eternal Spring” Da Lat, there’s always something for everyone in Vietnam! ”

“As the airline and our guests have eagerly anticipated the return of flights between Kuala Lumpur and Vietnam, we would also like to express our gratitude to the Vietnamese government for easing the travel and entry requirements for visitors to Vietnam.”

“We will work closely with the governments of both Malaysia and Vietnam to create more opportunities to help support economic recovery in both regions.”

Everyone traveling to Vietnam must follow the COVID-19 requirements. The fully vaccinated travelers are able to enter the country without any pre-departure COVID test.

Upon arrival, the travelers are expected to install an app to track their symptoms, and they are also required to be insured for COVID-19 insurance. Self-isolation is not required in Vietnam.

Manageable

It is great to see that AirAsia is quickly responding to the rising demand. The quick response is a sign of a healthy airline that is operating in a healthy airport, as they are not cramping by either staff shortages or any other external factors that would limit their air operations.

They are not only stimulating their own economy, but also the economy of Vietnam, which has taken a hit after the pandemic started. It is on its way to recovery with its tourism industry and especially now, as the summer season has started.

Now that they have re-opened their routes to Vietnam, it should be expected that the flights are going to bring an exceptional boost to the Vietnamese economy, as they are now serving an area of high demand.

The industry has had 2 years to adapt to the new changes that the COVID virus has presented, and it has become easy to adapt to these changes. This is very well reflected in announcements like this, as the flights will depart on relatively short notice.

It should be noted that even though it looks great, there must have been a lot of planning beforehand to announce this, of course, but there is no denying that the flights to Vietnam are being served quickly after the announcement.
