AA1775 Diverts to Kansas City Following Unruly Passenger Who Tried To Enter Cockpit

BERLIN – American Airlines Flight AA1775 from Los Angeles to Washington DC diverted to Kansas City International Airport on Sunday afternoon.

This comes due to an unruly passenger who interfered with crew members as he was trying to get into the cockpit. The FBI is investigating. 

American Airlines Flight 1775 is a daily flight from Los Angeles to Washington which is operated by A321neo aircraft. The aircraft involved in the accident was the brand new A321neo registered N446AN.

According to a passenger onboard the flight, another passenger tried to get into the cockpit. Passengers and crew worked together to hold down the passenger down.

Law enforcement met the aircraft at their gate. According to American Airlines, the carrier is “grateful to our crew members, who are consistently dedicated to the safety and care of our customers who handled the circumstances with the utmost skill and professionalism.”.

This comes just a couple of days after another American Airlines flight diverted due to an unruly passenger who threatened the crew of flight AA482 from Charlotte to Los Angeles.
