Network Airline Management (NAM) has bolstered its global cargo operations with the addition of a Boeing 747-400F production freighter.
This strategic acquisition furthers NAM’s commitment to expanding its fleet and solidifying its position as a key player in the international air cargo market.
The newly acquired aircraft, registered as TF-AKG, arrived at NAM’s Liege hub towards the end of 2024. It then commenced operational service on 14 December 2024. This nose-loading freighter significantly enhances NAM’s capacity and capabilities, particularly for handling oversized and specialized cargo.
An All-Production Freighter Fleet
Jonathan Clark, CEO of Network Aviation Group, further explained the benefits of the new addition. “Adding another B747 nose door aircraft to our fleet is a significant step towards our goal of operating an all-production freighter fleet,” Clark stated.
He further emphasized the aircraft’s proven track record. “This latest addition, formerly operated by China Airlines Cargo, has a history of delivering top-tier cargo services.”
The Boeing 747 is renowned for its exceptional range, substantial payload capacity, and inherent reliability. The aircraft remains a cornerstone of global air cargo operations, making it an ideal asset for NAM.
This latest acquisition is a testament to NAM’s proactive approach to meeting the escalating global demand for air cargo transportation.
The nose-loading capability of the 747-400F is particularly advantageous for transporting large, awkwardly shaped cargo. This generally wouldn’t fit in standard side-loading freighters. This includes items like machinery, vehicles, and industrial equipment, opening up new avenues for NAM to serve specialized industries.

NAM Current Fleet
As of January 2025, NAM’s fleet comprises three B747 production freighter, nose-door aircraft, and one B747-400BDSF converted freighter. This mix allows for operational flexibility and caters to a diverse range of cargo needs.
The company’s strategic focus on acquiring production freighters, rather than converted passenger aircraft, reflects a commitment to long-term efficiency and optimized cargo operations.
Production freighters are designed specifically for cargo transport, offering advantages in terms of payload capacity, fuel efficiency, and structural integrity.
Conclusion
Network Airline Management is actively pursuing further expansion of its fleet, continuing its search for additional freighter aircraft. This proactive approach positions NAM for continued growth and reinforces its dedication to providing reliable and efficient air cargo solutions on a global scale.
The ongoing expansion demonstrates NAM’s commitment to investing in its future and solidifying its role in the ever-evolving landscape of international air cargo.
By strategically expanding its fleet and focusing on specialized capabilities, Network Airline Management is well-positioned to capitalize on market opportunities and provide unparalleled service to its clients.
