National Jet Express (NJE) has announced plans to further expand its fleet with the addition of a 10th De Havilland Q400 aircraft.
This fleet addition comes as the operator continues to experience strong demand for its fly-in fly-out FIFO operations across Australia. The newly leased aircraft, registered VH-8QB, is set to arrive in Australia and commence operations within the next two weeks.
Deployment to Adelaide Base
The new regional aircraft will join NJE’s existing fleet of three Q400 aircraft based in Adelaide, South Australia. This expansion will allow NJE to further enhance its services in the region. It will cater to the growing needs of the construction, mining, and resources industries.
Robin Furber, NJE’s Interim COO gave comment on the new acquisition. “NJE’s commitment to investing in modern and fuel-efficient aircraft aligns perfectly with our vision for sustainable and reliable transportation solutions.”
“We are proud to offer our customers a superior travel experience that prioritizes comfort, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence.”
Recent E190 Fleet Addition
The addition of the 10th Q400 aircraft to NJE’s fleet marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth. It follows the recent introduction of NJE’s 7th Embraer E190 jet, which has strengthened its operations in Western Australia.
“We are excited to welcome NJE as our first DHC8-400 lessee in Australia,” said Steve Hankirk, CEO of Avmax. Avmax is the aircraft leasing company providing the Q400 to NJE. “Avmax is committed to supporting NJE’s expansion and providing them with the highest quality regional aircraft and spare parts.”
As NJE continues to expand its operations, the company remains focused on delivering exceptional service to its customers and contributing to the sustainable development of the Australian aviation industry.
