Munich Airport Gears Up for Record Summer 2025 Schedule

Munich Airport moves into its summer scheduling this Sunday 30 March, with 214,000+ flights operated by 73 airlines expected across the peak season.

On Sunday 30 March, Munich Airport will launch its highly anticipated summer timetable, promising an expansive network of flights and destinations.

Spanning 30 weeks, until Sunday 26 October, this schedule boasts an impressive 214,000+ flights operated by 73 airlines, connecting travelers to 216 destinations across 68 countries.

This surge in activity also sees an increase in the international network. It highlights Munich Airport’s growing status as a key international hub.

New Routes, Increased Frequencies


The summer schedule introduces exciting new routes and increased frequencies, catering to both business and leisure travelers.

Cathay Pacific is set to bridge Munich with the vibrant metropolis of Hong Kong, offering four weekly flights aboard the modern Airbus A350.

Discover Airlines has established a new long-haul base in Munich. It will provide thrice-weekly services to Orlando, Windhoek, and Calgary, utilizing the spacious Airbus A330.

Lufthansa is making a significant move by basing its entire fleet of eight Airbus A380s in Munich. These superjumbos will operate daily flights to major cities like Boston, New York/JFK, Los Angeles, Washington, and Delhi.

Starting April 30th, Denver will join this prestigious list. Furthermore, Lufthansa is boosting its frequency to Bangalore (five weekly flights) and San Diego (daily flights). Travelers can also look forward to a new Saturday lunchtime service to Tromsø in northern Norway.

Expanding Horizons: Asia and Beyond


Connections to the Far East are experiencing a significant expansion. Vietnam Airlines will increase its Hanoi flights from two to three weekly starting in July, while maintaining twice-weekly services to Ho Chi Minh City.

EVA Air is modernizing its Boeing 787 fleet and introducing a new three-class configuration (Business, Economy, and Premium Economy) on its Munich-Taipei route, beginning May 17th.

This marks the airline’s first global long-haul service with this cabin layout. Etihad Airways will also increase its Abu Dhabi flights to twice-daily, utilizing the latest Boeing aircraft.

From late May, SCAT will connect Munich to Shymkent in southern Kazakhstan three times a week. This marks the third airline linking the airport to Central Asia.

European Network Expansion


The European network is also seeing substantial growth. easyJet will offer twice-daily flights to Rome-Fiumicino. Meanwhile, ITA Airways will launch a similar frequency to Milan-Linate from Terminal 2, starting March 30th.

In late May, Lumiwings and Universal Air will introduce charter flights to Foggia and Rimini, respectively. SkyAlps will connect Munich to Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina twice a week.

Transavia France will provide three weekly flights to Paris-Orly from early April, and SAS will double its Copenhagen flights to twice daily. Pegasus Airlines will significantly increase its Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen flights, offering up to 25 weekly services. Discover Airlines also offers vacationers new options to Bodø, Keflavik, Marrakesh, and Funchal.

Condor is catering to business travelers with increased flexibility, offering daily morning and evening flights between Munich and Frankfurt from March 30th.

The airline will operate up to 120 weekly departures, focusing on popular beach destinations in the Greek Islands and the Canary Islands.
