LONDON – Canadian company Bombardier is now expanding its aftermarket presence in the United Arab Emirates. Its largest facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport will serve as an important hub for its business jets and importantly satisfy its customers in the wealthy region.

Abu Dhabi full service MRO facility

The new facility will be at least 100,000 sq. ft big with an MRO facility for all product lines of the Bombardier family. The Abu Dhabi centre will be a crucial part of Bombardier’s footprint and infrastructure.

With the opening of the Abu Dhabi facility, Bombardier will now increase its physical footprint by close to one million square feet. The Canadian company announced on the 6th of December that they have officially broken ground on the construction of its high-end facility.

After completion, Bombardier will serve as a full-service facility in the UAE which means that the Arab nation is key to business aviation for Bombardier.

This new facility will be able to cater to more than 100 aerospace jobs in Abu Dhabi, which will give the Canadian company greater bargaining ship in the financially rich region of Abu Dhabi and the Gulf Region.

This should allow Bombardier to receive aftersales ancillary revenues sustainably beyond the year 2025.

The new facility will feature a large hangar, which parts to complete a suite of maintenance services, including scheduled and unscheduled heavy maintenance, aircraft modifications, paint & cosmetics modification, aircraft on ground (AOG) and parking/hangarage services.

Of course, the new state-of-the-art facility will be able to cater to up to four Global 7500 at the same time, and as well as the upcoming Global 8000 aircraft, when it comes into service in 2025.

Moreover, Bombardier will also offer maintenance and after-sales solutions for all variants in the Bombardier family, ranging from Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft families.
