BOC Aviation Orders 80 A320neo Family Aircraft

LONDON – Global Aircraft operating lessor BOC Aviation, has announced that it has signed a firm order with Airbus for80 A320neo family aircraft. The order comprises 10 A321XLR, 50 A321neo and 20 A320neo aircraft, and it is the latest agreement to be made between Airbus and BOC aviation, with its total direct orders with airbus now standing a 453 aircraft from the single-aisle A320 Family to the A330 and A350 widebodies.

The A321XLR is the latest iteration of the A320neo Family aircraft to be built by Airbus and is expected to enter service in 2023 offering airlines and very impressive 11 hour flight time and a range extension of around 4,700 nautical miles over the A321LR making it one of the most fuel-efficient single-aisle body aircraft on the aviation market.


BOC Order Shows Positive Signs Of Major Growth in Coming years

The order has shown a sign that there expected growth to come from airlines in the coming years will mean that more and more aircraft are needed to meet this and as one of the largest aircraft lessors BOC is in the prime stance to help complete a part of this ever-growing puzzle on high travel demand.

This is the largest single order that we have ever placed and it will bring our total Airbus aircraft purchased since inception to 546. It underscores our continued confidence in the A320neo family for its reliability and operational efficiency and reflects the popularity of the aircraft amongst our airline customers. We look forward to continuing providing our customers with such fuel-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft solutions.”


Order Welcome News To Airbus after Tough Two Years

At the end of February, the A320neo Family had totalled more than 7,900 orders from over 120 customers around the globe with Airbus delivering over 2,100 of them since its introduction six years ago, with the aircraft having saved over 10 million tons of CO2 emissions in that time.
