Lufthansa to Deploy its Airbus A380 to Denver

Lufthansa is set to launch its first Airbus A380 service to Denver, Colorado, starting 30 April 2025. This makes Denver the sixth A380 destination for the airline.

Lufthansa is set to launch its first Airbus A380 service to Denver, Colorado, starting 30 April 2025.

The world’s largest passenger aircraft will connect Munich with the Rocky Mountain city, marking Denver as the sixth A380 destination in Lufthansa’s network.

Lufthansa will deploy its largest passenger aircraft on a direct route connecting Munich with the vibrant Rocky Mountain city. This will mark Denver as the carrier’s sixth A380 destination.

The planned daily flight schedule offers convenient travel times:

  • Outbound Flight LH480: Departing Munich at 11:15am, arriving in Denver at 1:45pm local time
  • Return Flight: Departing Denver at 4:15pm, landing in Munich at 10:50am the following day

Heiko Reitz, Lufthansa Airlines’ Chief Commercial Officer, gave comment on the newly announced route. “This is a groundbreaking moment for both Lufthansa and Denver Airport. The A380 represents more than transportation.”

“It offers an exceptional flying experience with unprecedented space and premium seating, delighting passengers, airport visitors, and crew members alike.”

Summer 2025 will showcase eight Airbus A380s operating from Munich’s hub, serving an impressive array of global destinations. These include New York, Boston, Washington, Los Angeles, Delhi, and the newly added Denver route. Each widebody A380 aircraft is configured with a 4-class mix of passenger accommodations:

  • 8 luxurious First Class seats
  • 78 comfortable Business Class seats
  • 52 Premium Economy seats
  • 371 standard Economy seats
