In the last few moments, Lufthansa flight LH2487 from London Heathrow declared an emergency whilst on the descent into Munich.
Information is limited surrounding the incident, but below is what we know on this so far.

Lufthansa Flight LH2487 – London to Munich…

Lufthansa flight LH2487, which declared the emergency, is a routine scheduled flight between London Heathrow and Munich.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident is D-AINH.
As per data from Planespotters.net, D-AINH is a 7.7 year old Airbus A320neo that was delivered to the airline back in August 2017.
Of the A320neo variant, Lufthansa has 32 of them in their fleet.
Moreover, of the 32, 26 are in active service, with six currently parked.
Average fleet age for that variant of aircraft at the airline is 6.2 years.
Lufthansa flight LH2487, which declared the emergency, departed London Heathrow at 1916 local time tonight bound for Munich.
Everything was normal in the flight until the descent phase of the flight.
When the aircraft was passing through 10,000-15,000 feet, the crew declared an incident via the 7700 squawk code.
The aircraft continued it’s descent normally, and landed safely into the German airport without further incident.
Reason for the Lufthansa Emergency is Unclear…

At this stage, it is unclear what the reason for the emergency declaration onboard Lufthansa flight LH2487 London-Munich.
Furthermore, it must be a serious issue if the crew is declaring a general emergency.
With the aircraft only just landing, developments will no doubt be released in due course.
