LOT Polish Airlines Inaugurates Direct Warsaw-Reykjavik Flight

On 12 April 2025, LOT Polish Airlines inaugurated direct flights connecting Warsaw and Reykjavik-Keflavik. It becomes the third new destination launched this year by the Polish national carrier.

On April 12, 2025, LOT Polish Airlines celebrated a milestone with its first direct flight from Warsaw to Reykjavik-Keflavik.

The inaugural journey welcomed excited passengers ready to explore Iceland’s wonders. A special ceremony marked the occasion.

In attendance were Robert Ludera, LOT’s Registered Representative and Director of the Network Bureau, and Dominik Zgieb, Director of Aviation Operations Safety Bureau at Polish Airports.

This new route strengthens ties between Poland and Iceland, opening doors for tourism and business.

Warsaw-Reykjavik Scheduling


LOT Polish Airlines will operate the route four times weekly in summer—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

During winter, flights will run three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The outbound flight, LO499, takes 4 hours and 20 minutes from Warsaw to Reykjavik.

The return flight, LO500, lasts about 4 hours. This schedule offers travelers flexibility to visit Iceland year-round.
