LOT Polish Airlines has launched a new codeshare partnership with ITA Airways, Italy’s national airline. This collaboration expands travel options for passengers of both carriers.
LOT currently operates to Italian cities like Milan, Venice, and Rome. With this agreement, LOT travelers can now connect to ten additional Italian destinations. These are: Bari, Bologna, Brindisi, Florence, Genoa, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo, and Turin.
Meanwhile, ITA Airways passengers gain easier access to Warsaw and other LOT destinations via Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.

This partnership brings several benefits. Travelers enjoy a consistent luggage policy and fare conditions across their entire journey. LOT passengers also get guaranteed transfers and can earn Miles & More miles on these codeshare flights. ITA Airways Move to Star Alliance
The partnership also hints at future perks. ITA Airways plans to join the Star Alliance in 2026, a move that excites LOT, a current member. Ludera noted, “ITA Airways joining Star Alliance is big news. Soon, passengers on our shared flights will enjoy Star Alliance benefits.”
“Starting February 3, 2025, Miles & More members can earn and redeem miles on ITA Airways flights. We see this as a chance to deepen our cooperation, both directly and within the alliance.”
Bookings for these new codeshare flights are already open. Flights begin on April 10, 2025—just one day before today’s date of April 11, 2025.
