Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, has inaugurated its summer schedule for flights between Glasgow and Donegal.
This development sees the launch of what will be a year-round service. This will provide a vital connection between these two popular destinations.
Previously the only carrier offering a direct air link between Northwest Ireland and the UK, Loganair has significantly boosted its service.
Flights resumed on Sunday, May 19th, with up to three departures scheduled weekly for most of the summer season.
The good news doesn’t stop there! To cater to year-round travel needs, the route will continue operating throughout winter with flights on Fridays and Sundays.
This expanded schedule allows for convenient weekend getaways and ensures consistent connectivity between the two regions.
Record Passenger Numbers Anticipated
“This increased frequency creates more travel opportunities between Glasgow and Donegal,” said Luke Lovegrove, Chief Commercial Officer for Loganair.
“We anticipate welcoming a record number of passengers this summer on the Donegal to Glasgow route.”
“We’re also thrilled to maintain service throughout winter, solidifying year-round connectivity between the UK and Northwest Ireland. For the best fares, we encourage everyone to book their flights as soon as possible.”
Donegal Airport, famed for its breathtaking approach and consistently ranked among the world’s most scenic landings, is the scheduled destination.
Loganair’s presence at Donegal Airport dates back to the early 1990s. The 2023 relaunch of the Glasgow route was met with enthusiasm by a wide range of travelers.

The summer schedule offers up to three flights per week. This will transition to twice-weekly flights from October 28th when the winter schedule commences.
