Starting August 1, 2025, Jetstar will introduce direct flights from the Gold Coast to Denpasar, Bali. This marks a further expansion of its international network, with the exclusive service.

As the first low-cost carrier to offer this route, Jetstar is making travel to Bali more accessible and budget-friendly for Gold Coast residents.

With three weekly flights, this new service will provide over 58,000 low-fare seats annually, catering to the growing demand for affordable international travel.

New Direct Bali-Gold Coast Route

Jetstar will deploy two of its newest Airbus A320neo aircraft to operate these flights, ensuring a modern and comfortable travel experience.

This addition strengthens Jetstar’s position as the leading airline serving the Gold Coast, further solidifying its commitment to connecting the region with popular destinations.

In addition to the Bali route, Jetstar will launch three more routes in June 2025, connecting the Gold Coast to Hamilton and Dunedin in New Zealand, as well as Darwin, offering travelers even more options.

“Bali continues to be the top international destination for Jetstar customers,” said Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully. “We’re excited to offer a low-cost connection between the Gold Coast and Bali, making it simpler and more affordable for travelers to visit this beloved holiday spot.”

“With its stunning beaches, vibrant resorts, delicious cuisine, welcoming locals, and proximity to Australia, it’s no surprise Bali remains a favorite.”

A Boost for the Gold Coast

The new route is a significant development for the Gold Coast, where Bali is already a popular choice for holidaymakers. According to Queensland Airports Limited CEO Amelia Evans, over 130,000 passengers have traveled between the Gold Coast and Bali in the past two years.

“This new service is a major win for our region,” Evans said. “It provides more travel options for locals and makes Bali even more accessible for those planning their next vacation.”

The introduction of these flights reflects Jetstar’s ongoing efforts to meet customer demand while keeping fares low. By offering direct flights, the airline eliminates the need for Gold Coast residents to travel through other hubs, saving both time and money.

The use of fuel-efficient Airbus A320neo aircraft also supports Jetstar’s commitment to sustainable operations, reducing the environmental impact of its flights.

For Queensland locals, the new route opens up exciting opportunities to explore Bali’s rich culture, from its lush rice terraces to its bustling markets.

Whether it’s a relaxing beach escape or an adventure-filled holiday, Bali is a destination offering something for everyone.
