IndiGo Airlines is set to enhance its Malaysian connectivity with the introduction of daily direct flights connecting Bengaluru to the tropical paradise of Langkawi.
Starting 16 December 2024, this new route marks a further expansion of IndiGo’s growing global network. This makes Langkawi the carrier’s 36th international and 124th overall destination.
Expanding Malaysian Connectivity
The addition of Langkawi flights strengthens IndiGo’s presence in Malaysia, complementing its existing services to Kuala Lumpur. With this new route, IndiGo will operate 14 weekly flights between India and Malaysia, serving travelers from two major Indian cities.
Speaking about this strategic expansion, Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, was pleased to announce the new route.
“We are delighted to further expand our network into Malaysia with the launch of direct flights from Bengaluru to Langkawi. The recent visa waiver for Indian citizens to Malaysia is expected to boost tourism demand significantly.”

The airline recently launched direct flights to Mauritius and the cultural haven of Bali, demonstrating its commitment to connecting India with sought-after international destinations.

IndiGo’s international reach from Bengaluru continues to expand, with direct flights now serving over 10 international destinations.
