Global Airlines Will Now Launch Flights in 2025

It has now been revealed that rather launching flights this year, Global Airlines will launch services in 2025 instead.

Such news has been revealed via a press release distributed this week surrounding a deal made with a venture capital firm in Europe.

Without further ado, let’s get into it…

Global Airlines this week unveiled a partnership with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, a tech-focused global law firm.

They are now the airline’s strategic legal advisor for when it comes to investment strategy and capital raises.

Commenting on the announcement was the airline’s CEO James Asquith:

“We have continuously set out to work with the best in class in their sectors and that’s exactly what we’ve done with Orrick.

Their strategic advice, input and networks will be invaluable to us as we build a business that operates to the highest possible standards.”

“Since our flight across the Atlantic, appetite from large funds and institutional investors has never been higher and Orrick is well placed to support us as we build for the future.”

Adding to this was Edward Dyson, one of the partner’s at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe:

“Orrick is thrilled to work with the visionary team at Global Airlines as they embark on their journey to revolutionise commercial air travel.”

“They bring the essential elements of innovation – a deep understanding of customer needs, technological know-how and a proven record in operating successful ventures.”

“The firm is fully geared up to provide them with strategic legal advice as they prepare for take-off!”

Within the press release, Global Airlines gave an update surrounding their A380 being 9H-GLOBL.

Following it’s flights across the Atlantic, the aircraft is currently being painted at Glasgow Prestwick Airport.

This is where the airline revealed that flights would now take off in 2025 instead:

“The next stage of maintenance work is due to commence in the coming weeks that will take the airline a step closer towards launching passenger flights next year.”

Whilst this represents another delay to the airline’s launch, the announcements being made show the foundations being built up.

In conclusion, it remains clear that Global Airlines are wanting to take things one step at a time, especially with launch of flights.

2025 does seem to be the timeline for which they will launch flights.

Maintenance and repaint of the A380 will be done by then, which will set them up for next steps.

Furthermore, all eyes will be on anymore additional announcements that the airline makes between now and then.

With the airline consistently giving announcements, it does give some form of credibility.

This is especially with the wave of UK start-up carriers that we have seen in the last few years.

Everyone but Global Airlines have been consistent in their own demise before they start, but things are chugging along.

But as mentioned, all eyes will be onto 2025 when the first flights are eventually announced.
