LONDON – United Airlines has become the first carrier in the U.S to sign an agreement with Boom Supersonic for 15 of its Overture aircraft.
The deal for 15 units features an option for an additional 35 units of the type, with Boom and United poised to work together in making the aircraft net-zero carbon from day one by optimising sustainable aviation fuels.
Overture is slated to roll out in 2025, commence testing by 2026 and carry passengers by 2029.
