LONDON – French smart-cost, long-haul airline French bee has announced plans to launch flights to Los Angeles from Paris Orly in April 2022.

Tickets are already on sale for this new flight, with introductory fares featured at $279 each way.

Such flights will operate on a four times per week basis to the new destination, with the flight departing LAX at 1945L for a 1535L+1 arrival into Orly.

The return flight would depart at 1450L the next day, arriving in LAX at 1715L, offering flight times of 10 hours and 50 minutes on its flagship Airbus A350 fleet.

Commenting on this move was Marc Rochet, President at French bee who expressed great enthusiasm over this new route:

“Following the success of our Newark launch and relaunch of San Francisco, we are enthusiastic to debut Los Angeles as our third U.S. route to Paris and continue our rapid U.S. expansion”.

On top of this, by July 2022, the carrier expects to operate the Los Angeles route around six times per week, indicating significant demand into one of the iconic destinations of the West Coast.

With San Francisco reinstated and Newark only around a month since inauguration, French bee is beginning to set itself up pretty slowly but steadily when it comes to taking on big portions of market share like this.

It is also showing that the utilization of Paris Orly is working to the airline’s benefit and that battling out of Charles de Gaulle would be somewhat counter-productive.

In all, it will be interesting to see how this route fares in April 2022 and whether it will feature the demand that the airline expects it to have!
