French bee A350 Papeete-San Francisco Declares Emergency

In the last hour, a French bee Airbus A350 operating flight BF711 between Papeete and San Francisco declared an emergency not long after departure.

Information is limited surrounding the incident at hand.

In the last hour, a French bee Airbus A350 operating flight BF711 between Papeete and San Francisco declared an emergency not long after departure.

French bee flight BF711, the Airbus A350 which declared the emergency, is a routine scheduled flight between Papeete and San Francisco.

Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident was F-HREN.

As per data from Planespotters.net, F-HREN is a 4.9 year old Airbus A350-900 that was delivered to the airline back in August 2020.

Moreover, of the A350-900 variant, French bee has four of them in their fleet.

Also, within the four, all of them are in active service, with an average fleet age of 7.2 years.

French bee flight BF711, the Airbus A350 which declared the emergency, departed Papeete at 0707 local time today, bound for San Francisco.

Literally minutes after departure, the flight declared an incident via the 7700 squawk code.

From there, the aircraft u-turned back to the island, and set itself up for a rapid approach.

At 0722 local time, the aircraft landed safely without further incident and returned to it’s gate.

Reason for the Emergency on the Airbus A350 Unclear…

At this stage, it is unclear why French bee flight BF711 Papeete-San Francisco declared an emergency, with the Airbus A350 still on the ground at the time of writing (1900 UK time).

Moreover, it is clear that the nature of the incident was serious enough to cause a return back to the French Polynesian airport.

No news has come from local media as of yet regarding this.
