flynas, Saudi Arabia’s leading low-cost airline, has signed a landmark agreement with Safran, a top-tier aircraft seat manufacturer.

This deal will outfit 60 new Airbus A320neo aircraft with cutting-edge seats designed to redefine comfort and convenience in low-cost travel.

Unveiled at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai from April 28 to May 1, the announcement was officiated by flynas Chairman Ayed Al Jeaid, CEO Bander Almohanna, and Safran Seats France EVP Quentin Munier.

A320neo Seating Configuration

The agreement introduces next-generation seats tailored for flynas, featuring smart cushion designs and advanced technologies to enhance guest comfort. Safran have optimized these seats for flights up to six hours. This makes them ideal for flynas’ medium-to-long-haul route operations.

The new fleet, set for delivery by late 2025, will feature 174 seats per aircraft, including Economy and Premium configurations. The Premium section spans four rows at the cabin’s front. It offers a wider seat pitch, adjustable headrests, and a middle seat blocker for extra space and privacy.

Economy class passengers will enjoy a host of modern amenities. Each seat includes a portable electronic device holder, a power supply port with USB A and C (60W output). There is a lower literature pocket, a coat hook, and a cup holder.

These thoughtful features ensure a more comfortable and convenient journey, setting a new benchmark for low-cost carriers.

Bander Almohanna, flynas’ CEO, gave comments on behalf of the airline, pointing out its expansion program. “Our collaboration with Safran allows us to reimagine our cabins with innovative designs and advanced technologies. It will serve 330 million passengers, and welcome 100 million tourists annually by 2030. It also advances the Pilgrims Experience Program, facilitating seamless access to the Two Holy Mosques.”

Quentin Munier of Safran Seats expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. “We’re thrilled to equip flynas’ A320neo fleet with our Z200 Economy class seats, designed to benefit both passengers and operators. This is our first collaboration with flynas, and we look forward to supporting their growth in the years ahead.”
