A Flybondi Boeing 737-800 operating from Buenos Aires to San Carlos de Bariloche Airport, Argentina was unable to vacate the runway after landing on 27 July 2024.
Flybondi flight FO5276 had conducted an arrival and landing on RWY29 San Carlos de Bariloche Airport (BRC). The landing had been made during heavy icing conditions.

Following the landing procedure, the aircraft came to a stop at the last taxiway exit. At that point the aircraft became disabled due to the frozen runway conditions.
As a result, it was unable to exit the active runway due to a lack of directional control, and was placed under tow.
Following the removal from the active runway, the aircraft was relocated and passengers were able to disembark without incident.
The airline released a confirming statement after the landing incidents. “Flybondi informs that due to the conditions of the runway at Bariloche airport, flight FO5276 had to give up taxiing on its own.”
“It had to be towed due to the lack of directional control because the runway was frozen.”
The statement went on to confirm that subsequent flights FO5278 and FO5280 were instructed to divert to Neuquen Airport due to the prevailing weather conditions.
