FlyArystan Adds 2 New Airbus A320 Family Aircraft to Fleet

Kazakhstan's low-cost airline FlyArystan has taken delivery of two additional aircraft - an Airbus A320neo and A320ceo - taking its fleet total to 22.

Kazakhstan’s premier low-cost airline, FlyArystan, has continued its recent fleet expansion this week. With the arrival of two new aircraft.

The carrier has taken delivery of an Airbus A320neo configured with 188 seats and an Airbus A320ceo boasting 180 seats.

This addition brings FlyArystan’s total fleet to 22 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.

A Stellar Tradition

In keeping with FlyArystan’s unique tradition, the new aircraft have been christened with celestial names chosen by passengers.

The Airbus A320 CEO has been dubbed “Antares,” while the Airbus A320 NEO now goes by “Capella,” both named after bright stars in the night sky.

Richard Ledger, Acting President of FlyArystan, gave comment on behalf of the airline about the new arrivals.

“These deliveries underscore our dedication to enhancing air travel to, from, and within Kazakhstan. We’re now poised to develop an even more extensive and dense route network, both domestically and internationally.”

Expanding International and Domestic Markets

This summer, FlyArystan has resumed and increased international flights to key destinations such as Bishkek, Baku, and Istanbul. But the carrier hasn’t forgotten its roots.

Ledger emphasized, “Domestic connectivity remains one of our key priorities, contributing to tourism, business, and social development across all regions of Kazakhstan.”

FlyArystan’s commitment to excellence hasn’t gone unnoticed. The airline recently clinched the Skytrax award for the best low-cost carrier in Central Asia and the CIS for the second time.

This recognition reflects the carrier’s dedication to providing a quality service at affordable prices. It is certainly a feather in the cap of the young airline.

Soaring Passenger Numbers

Since its inaugural year in 2019, FlyArystan has experienced phenomenal growth. Passenger numbers have skyrocketed by more than five times, reaching an impressive 3.6 million in 2023.

Perhaps most notably, one in ten passengers who flew with FlyArystan last year was a first-time flyer, highlighting the airline’s role in making air travel accessible to more people.
