Finnair Doubles Down on Helsinki-London Heathrow Flights

Finnair has this week revealed plans to double down on their existing flights between Helsinki and London Heathrow.

It is understood the carrier will be adding more flights, which will be in effect from October 27.

The Extra Helsinki-London Heathrow Flights from Finnair…

Finnair will add two extra daily flights between Helsinki (HEL) and London Heathrow (LHR) from October 27, 2024.

Furthermore, the additional services will have the following departure and arrival times:

  • DEP LHR 0955 & 1310 ARR HEL 1445 & 1800
  • DEP HEL 1055 & 2125 ARR LHR 1210 & 2240

Below is an overview of what the entire schedule of flights between Helsinki and London Heathrow will look like with Finnair:

As you can see there, there are a lot of daily flights on offer from the Finnish carrier.

Anssi Partanen, Finnair’s Market Director in the UK, said the following on the announcement:

“We are incredibly excited to be boosting capacity between London and Helsinki, deepening ties between the UK and Finland.

“London has always been an important city for Finnair, and for our customers, so we are thrilled to be announcing this news ahead of the 70th anniversary of the London-Helsinki route in September.”

“These new flights are also timed to give our customers increased choice and flexibility when travelling during the peak morning and evening periods and will facilitate even smoother connections onto our network in Northern Europe and the Far East.”

In conclusion, it is clear that Finnair is seeing incredible demand on the Helsinki-London Heathrow flights.

With multiple daily flights on offer between the two cities, it offers better connection options for passengers heading onwards.

All eyes will turn to October 27 to see how the two extra daily flights perform, as well as what aircraft will be used.
