Overall Thoughts…
We have witnessed a further interesting dynamic unfold over the past four days with Boeing, Embraer, Airbus & ATR.
Challenges for the industry and the major manufacturers continue to hold sway, and the coming months will certainly make for interesting times!
In nature, it was a much quieter airshow than at Le Bourget last year where over 1,100 aircraft were sold.
260 airplanes were sold this time around, which highlights supply chain issues as well as airlines ordering enough aircraft already.
But for now, all eyes will be on the big four manufacturers to see whether they reveal anymore orders this year.
Furthermore, Embraer in particular is one to watch as they are expected to unveil some E2 orders this year.
As for ATR, they will want to continue on existing successes this year.
For Boeing, they can walk away with some strong optimism on the widebody front, having sold some more 777Xs and 787s.
Finally, Airbus managed to clinch the airshow overall through those last minute orders, and by re-asserting their market dominance once again.
