Imagery has been released surrounding an EVA Air Boeing 777 from Taipei damaged on the ground by a light pole in Ho Chi Minh City.
Information is limited surrounding this incident, but below is what we know so far on this.

B-16731 – The EVA Air Boeing 777 From Taipei Damaged in Ho Chi Minh City…
The EVA Air Boeing 777-300ER involved in the incident had come from Taipei into Ho Chi Minh City on July 3, a routine scheduled flight.
It is understood this incident happened when the aircraft was taxiing out for the return flight back to base.
Furthermore, the aircraft involved in the incident is understood to be B-16731.
As per data from Planespotters.net, B-16731 is a 7.8 year old Boeing 777-300ER that was delivered to the airline in September 2016.
Of the 777-300ER variant, EVA Air has 33 of them in their fleet.
Within the 33, all but three are in active service, with an average fleet age of 11.1 years.
Flight BR395, it’s previous flight departed Taipei (TPE) at 0801 local time on July 3 and landed into Ho Chi Minh City with no issue at 1021 local time.
However, during the taxi process for it’s departure back to TPE, the aircraft hit a light pole.
It is understood that no injuries were reported following this incident, with there being somewhat minimal damage on the aircraft.
Aircraft Still Grounded…
Data from RadarBox shows that the EVA Air Boeing 777-300ER from Taipei is still grounded in Ho Chi Minh City following the incident.
Furthermore, the duration of this grounding is dependent on how extensive the damage is.
How long it will take to fix is also another question, but the aircraft will remain grounded regardless of the extent of the damage.
Overall, information remains limited on this particular incident.
