Etihad Airways has this week made some major announcements in regard to it’s flights to Thailand as well as plans to introduce the Airbus A380 in Singapore.
The carrier is bolstering it’s presence in the Asian market with these two popular countries.
Without further ado, let’s get into it…
The Plans for Singapore & Thailand Flights with Etihad Airways…
Etihad Airways has unveiled some strong plans for it’s flights to Thailand, with the Singapore flights involving a capacity upgauge with the Airbus A380.
Furthermore, Thailand will be bolstered to 41 flights per week from October 27:

As well as this, Etihad Airways have confirmed that the Airbus A380 will be deployed on their Singapore flights from February 1, 2025.
This destination becomes the fourth destination in the route network to be served by the superjumbo.
All four from February 1, 2025 will be as follows from the airline:
- London
- New York
- Paris (Starting November 1).
- Singapore (Starting February 1, 2025).
Neves: Sixth Airbus A380 In Service By 2025…
Commenting on the bolstering of Thailand flights as well as the introduction of the Airbus A380 to Singapore was Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways:
“We are thrilled to announce that our iconic A380 aircraft will begin serving the Singapore route early next year.
“This aircraft provides our business and leisure travellers with an exceptional flying experience and seamless connections to our Middle East, European, and North American networks.”
“It highlights Etihad’s dedication to optimising travel to Abu Dhabi and beyond, ensuring more convenience and comfort for our guests.”
“We will have our sixth A380 online next year as we build our capacity further to cater for the travel needs of our guests.”
Overall…
In conclusion, it is clear that Singapore (SIN) and Thailand flights with Etihad Airways are proving popular.
For SIN, the introduction of the Airbus A380 is reflective of strong demand that is needing the superjumbo.
Moreover, it is clear that flights to Bangkok & Phuket are also very popular due to the heavy frequencies offered.
Looking ahead, all eyes turn to October as well as February next year when these changes come into effect.
But for now, all eyes are on what other growth the airline will be unveiling over the course of this year.
