Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has announced a significant expansion of its service between Abu Dhabi and Jaipur.
Starting December 15, 2024, the airline will increase its weekly flights on this route to ten, up from the current frequency. This expansion comes just four months after Etihad launched the route, highlighting its rapid success and growing demand.
Phenomenal Demand After Four Months
Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, noted the demand for the service since its initial inception. “The demand for this route has been nothing short of phenomenal. We’re demonstrating our strong commitment to India by adding more weekly flights, offering both convenient timings and increased frequency.”
“This expansion provides Indian travelers with easy access to Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as smooth connections to our extensive global network. We’re excited to deliver our signature exceptional service to even more passengers on this popular route.”
The increased frequency offers more flexibility for business and leisure travelers alike. Passengers flying from Jaipur to the United States can take advantage of Abu Dhabi’s US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility.
This pre-clearance service allows travelers to complete US immigration and customs procedures before departing Abu Dhabi, ensuring a smoother arrival experience in the United States.
India Market Focus
This frequency boost underscores Etihad’s growing focus on the Indian market. Over the past year, the airline has increased its overall capacity to India by more than a third.
The expansion also coincides with Etihad’s recent celebration of 20 years of service to the subcontinent. This marked two decades of connecting India to the world via Abu Dhabi.
Airbus A320 family aircraft will operate the flights, featuring Etihad’s award-winning service in both Business and Economy cabins. Passengers can enjoy comfortable seating, in-flight entertainment, and high-quality dining options. The convenient flight times to Abu Dhabi allow for seamless connections across Etihad’s expanding global network.
Abu Dhabi Stopover Program
To further enhance connectivity and promote Abu Dhabi as a destination, Etihad Airways offers a complimentary stopover program. This initiative allows travelers to extend their layovers into memorable stays with up to two free nights at premium Abu Dhabi hotels.
