Ethiopian Airlines will expand its African network with the addition of a daily flight service to Port Sudan, starting October 15, 2024.

Ethiopian Airlines will commence daily flights to Port Sudan, Sudan, starting October 15, 2024. This expansion strengthens Ethiopian’s dedication to improving African connectivity, boosting regional economic growth, and promoting trade and tourism.

The new route offers convenient travel between Ethiopia and Sudan, while also connecting Port Sudan to Ethiopian’s extensive global network. This service highlights Ethiopian’s commitment to meeting Africa’s evolving market needs and contributing to the continent’s economic progress.

By linking Port Sudan to its worldwide network, Ethiopian Airlines aims to create new opportunities for businesses, travelers, and communities, encouraging cross-border cooperation and cultural exchange.

Flight Details


The inaugural flight, ET350, will depart from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport at 11:00 local time. The service then touches down in Port Sudan at 12:15. The return flight, ET351, is scheduled to leave Port Sudan at 14:15, arriving back in Addis Ababa at 17:30.

The single aisle Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will operate both legs of the journey. Travelers can expect the airline’s renowned hospitality and service excellence throughout their journey, from check-in to arrival.

The convenient flight timings also allow for easy connections to and from Ethiopian’s extensive network of over 150 destinations across five continents.
