Emirates Airlines is set to enhance its Gulf operations by introducing the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft on routes to Kuwait and Bahrain starting January 8.
These destinations will become the second and third cities to welcome Emirates’ newest addition to its fleet. It also marks a significant expansion of premium air service in the region.
A350 Deployment: Kuwait and Bahrain
The new A350 service to Kuwait will operate on flight numbers EK853 and EK854. Passengers can depart Dubai at 1:25 AM on EK853, reaching Kuwait at 2:15 AM. The return journey on EK854 takes off from Kuwait at 3:40 AM, landing in Dubai at 6:25 AM.
For travelers heading to Bahrain, Emirates will deploy the A350 on two of its three daily flight pairs. The first service, EK837, departs Dubai at 8:20 AM, touching down in Bahrain at 8:40 AM. Its return flight, EK838, leaves Bahrain at 10:00 AM and arrives in Dubai at 12:15 PM.

Three Cabin Configuration
Passengers aboard the new A350 will experience exceptional comfort across all three cabin classes. The aircraft features 312 seats, including 32 next-generation Business Class pods arranged in a spacious 1-2-1 configuration. Moreover, travelers can choose from 21 Premium Economy seats in a comfortable 2-3-2 layout or 259 well-appointed Economy Class seats configured in a 3-3-3 arrangement.
The aircraft’s cutting-edge features extend beyond seating arrangements. Passengers will appreciate the A350’s high ceilings and wider aisles, creating an enhanced sense of space throughout the cabin.
Furthermore, the latest technology includes improved Wi-Fi connectivity and an upgraded version of Emirates’ renowned ice inflight entertainment system, offering an extensive selection of on-demand content through a cinematic interface.
Emirates Presence in Kuwait and Bahrain
Emirates’ relationship with Kuwait dates back to 1989, and the airline currently maintains a robust schedule of 29 weekly flights to the city.
Kuwait holds the distinction of being the second destination to receive aircraft featuring Emirates’ acclaimed Premium Economy cabin and newly designed Business Class seats, following the introduction of the retrofitted Boeing 777 in October 2024.
Meanwhile, Bahrain continues to be an important destination in Emirates’ network, with 22 weekly flights now operated by a combination of Boeing 777 and the new Airbus A350 aircraft.
This mixed fleet deployment ensures that passengers have access to Emirates’ signature service standards while benefiting from the latest aviation technology.
Summary
Through this strategic deployment of the A350, Emirates demonstrates its commitment to enhancing the travel experience for passengers in the Gulf region. The new widebody rollout offers increased comfort, advanced technology, and improved connectivity between these key destinations.
