Emirates is now set to welcome the delivery of its first Airbus A350 aircraft in October 2024. The airline expects to receive five A350-900s by the end of 2024.
Originally touted for September, next month’s delivery will marks a significant waypoint for the Dubai-based airline. With continued delivery delays from both Boeing and Airbus, Emirates has had to extend its current fleet service life to compensate.
The carrier recently increased the planned intake of aircraft to undergo its widebody fleet interior modernisation program.
Emirates A350 Configuration
Emirates’ fleet welcomes the fuel-efficient, long-range A350, making it an ideal addition. The carrier ordered 65 A350-900 aircraft, which will be used for both short- and medium-haul routes.
The new widebody aircraft will feature a three-class configuration, including First, Business, and Economy Class seating.
With its spacious interior and state-of-the-art amenities, the A350 will continue the standards which Emirates has set across its operations. It will accommodate 300-350 passengers and operate up to 9,700nm non-stop.
Planned A350 Deployment
Emirates nominated Bahrain as the first destination served by its A350, introducing Premium Economy seats on Middle East/GCC regional routes for the first time.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates spoke on the new fleet addition in May this year. “This aircraft will be a game-changer, allowing us to serve regional destinations with greater efficiency and flexibility.”
“With its premium cabin options, advanced technology, and customer-focused features, the Emirates A350 reinforces our commitment to providing the best possible travel experience.”
Emirates announced its initial deployment cities for the Airbus A350 earlier this year.
