Emirates will restart services to Beirut, Lebanon from 1 February 2025 with a daily flight. The airline will also reinstate daily services to Baghdad in Iraq on the same day.
The airline had previously extended flight suspensions to both capital cities until 31 January due to regional tensions and safety concerns.
Returning to Beirut with Increased Frequency
Emirates will initially operate a daily flight to Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, served by a state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
This aircraft boasts a three-class cabin configuration, offering a luxurious travel experience for passengers across Economy, Business, and First Class.
Recognizing the growing demand, Emirates will further enhance its Beirut service from April 1, 2025, by introducing a second daily flight.
This strategic move will provide travelers with greater flexibility and convenience, offering a wider range of departure and arrival times to suit their travel plans. Both daily flights will be operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, ensuring consistent comfort and service across all flights.

Strengthening Ties with Baghdad
The resumption of daily flights to Baghdad also signifies a crucial step in strengthening Emirates’ presence in Iraq.
The airline will operate a Boeing 777 aircraft on this route, offering a comfortable and efficient travel experience for passengers. This renewed service will not only facilitate travel for business and leisure purposes but also play a vital role in supporting the economic growth and development of Iraq.
A Strategic Move with Multiple Benefits
The decision to resume services to Beirut and Baghdad reflects a positive outlook on the travel landscape in these regions. After a period of disruption and uncertainty, these markets are showing signs of recovery, driven by factors such as improving security conditions and growing economic activity.
By reconnecting these vital destinations to its extensive global network, Emirates aims to:
